GR10K FW:B FEST 2026
FWB FEST is an annual gathering bringing together contemporary art, music, technology, independent publishing, design, and cultural research. Held in Idyllwild, California, the festival convenes artists, designers, founders, publishers, and practitioners through a programme of performances, discussions, installations, exhibitions, and temporary environments.
Invited by Comfort Magazine and its founders, Shaojun Chen and Yudo Kurita, GR10K presented a temporary installation during the fifth edition of the festival, extending the studio's ongoing research into technical clothing, industrial systems, and contemporary retail environments.
Developed through the operational logic of market stalls, merchandise tables, and temporary retail infrastructure, the project assembled seasonal garments, GR10K Replicated, utility objects, publications, and ongoing material research into a single environment.
Rather than functioning as a conventional point of sale, the installation operated as a temporary extension of the wider GR10K programme, presenting clothing, printed matter, and industrial objects within a setting shaped by exchange rather than display. The project continued GR10K's broader investigation into how garments, uniforms, technical products, and cultural artefacts can occupy the same physical infrastructure.
Presented as part of FWB FEST 5, Idyllwild, California.
