GR10K presents Intervals at Design Week 2025: a non-linear narrative of mental health, extreme pain, and concentration.

The event was open to all; everyone was welcome to attend.

In working on events, the focus is often on location, attendees, and clout; fashion, by contrast, imposes nothing beyond presence. The subject is ubiquitous: intelligent people talking, some form of refreshment, “I’ll see you around!” as the main code word to avoid small talk.

Curated by Carlo Antonelli and RC 1.10 Monster-Trucks, Intervals featured talks by psychiatry and pain specialists, a time-based drumming session performed by Igor Cavalera, and a rehearsal of Albumblatt by Alexis Weissenberg.

In a week saturated with performative optimism and ritualised excess, this moment offered a pause — a space to recognise and honour pain and discomfort as fundamental engines of both life paths and business projects, as forms of salvation, as antidotes.

The visceral, grounding presence of Igor Cavalera (Sepultura) was the beating core of this celebration of labour - understood in its most radical, transformative sense.

Intervals brought together contributions from:

- Maurizio Bianchi, legendary Italian experimental electronic and noise composer
- Alessia Lanzi, President of the Minotauro Cooperative, carrying out clinical work with preadolescents, adolescents, and young adults
- Fabio Immobile, FIPP physician, anaesthesiologist
- Stefano Benzoni, professor and child neuropsychiatrist
- Giulio Stefanini, cardiothoracic surgeon and professor of cardiology at Humanitas, Milan
